Presentation: Towards a Sustainable Future: An Integrated Waste-to-Energy Approach for Net-Zero Emissions

Khadija Al Balushi is a driven and passionate Environmental Engineer who believes that research and education are the keys to solving today's environmental challenges." In 2017, I graduated from the German University of Technology in Oman with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Throughout my academic years, I had exceptional grades which led to the successful achievement of this degree along with several industrial trainings in Oman and France. I went on to earn a SAP Certificate in SuccessFactors Employee Central in March 2018, becoming the winner 1, and later pursued an MBA in Sustainability and Energy Management from WU Academy in Vienna. Since September 2018, I have been working as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Engineering Department at GUTECH in Halban, Oman. I have assisted in several courses related to Environmental Engineering and have conducted and assisted in research papers and projects related to Industry, resulting in the publication of several papers in prestigious journals in my field of expertise. Throughout my journey, I have learned the importance of self-discipline and organization at work. I believe that my strong scientific background and extensive experience provide me with a solid platform to pursue my career. My passion for research and education is rooted in the belief that they are essential to solving the environmental challenges facing the world today.
