Presentation: Evaluation of Heavy Metals Leachability Potential of Landfill-Mined-Fine-Fractions under Various Environmental Conditions.

Dr. Suresh A. Kartha is presently Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Head of the Centre for Sustainable Water Research, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India. He also worked as Visiting Associate Professor at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Kartha joined IIT Guwahati as a faculty in 2007 and currently has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. His research focuses on landfill leaching, heap leaching, environmental and contaminant hydrology, and flow and transport processes in the porous media. He has published several peer-reviewed journals in the associated fields. He is also associated with various sponsored research projects and consultancy projects in the relevant areas of environmental hydrology and legacy waste dumpsite management.
