be’ah’s state-of-the-art healthcare waste treatment facilities (HCWTFs) have been established as per the latest international standards recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure safe management of HCW using the latest scientific treatment technologies. be’ah’s HCWTFs have incineration and autoclave techniques. The autoclave technology is an ECO friendly technology which treats the HCW to make it harmless, and its commonly used worldwide, whereas the incineration is mainly used to treat the pharmaceutical, cytotoxic and genotoxic waste. be’ah HCWTFs places a strong emphasis on compliance with regulatory requirements and international best practices. They’re strive to implement sustainable practices as per international standards by executing excellent quality, health, safety and environment management. By sustaining the performance of the services, be’ah has achieved external independent ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Al Amerat HCWTF is the main healthcare waste treatment facility in the country, designed to effectively manage and treat the generated quantities of healthcare waste. This facility plays a crucial role in ensuring safe HCW management, protecting public health and minimizing the potential risks associated with improper waste management.

Barka Engineered Sanitary Landfill is the largest landfill in the Sultanate of Oman which is located very close to Muscat governorate. Commencing its operations in 2015, the landfill currently manages a daily waste averaging 2,300 tons, with a total of 350+ trucks per day. The site has three engineered cells, with one cell being closed ( with a capacity of 2,300,000 tons) and equipped with biogas collection and extraction system. The landfill has Oman’s second-largest leachate treatment plant, capable of processing 100 cubic meters per day, alongside a flaring system with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per hour. The landfill also has shredder systems for end life tires and a shredder area for green waste.

The industrial waste treatment facility was established in 2018 during Phase 1, featuring industrial waste landfills, administrative and laboratory buildings, storage facilities, infrastructure, a weigh bridge building, and a solidification plant. Phase 2, the next stage of development, will introduce a physical and chemical plant, an incineration plant, and other pretreatment units. Our facility handles industrial, hazardous, oil, and chemical waste, ensuring responsible disposal. We are dedicated to providing effective waste treatment solutions for our clients.
