Mr. Ernest Kusi currently works with Zoomlion Ghana LTD, the leading waste management company in Ghana, as Director of Monitoring and Service Quality. I have Fifteen (15) years of experience in waste management. I have been involved in large environmental projects in Ghana and other African countries, namely Liberia, Togo, Equitorial Guinea, Angola and Zambia. My speciality spun across the development of waste management plans, contract administration, project management, waste collection and transportation strategies, landfill technology and management, public and private partnerships in waste management and conducting training and research in waste management. In addition, I was an adjunct Lecturer at Koforidua Technical University. Ernest holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Environment Science; from KNUST, Kumasi. I also have a second master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Management from Bauhaus University, Weimar, Germany. I also hold an advanced certificate in Project Management from Merjja Technologies and NEBOSH (Part II). Mr. Kusi has received international exposure and training on best practices in waste management from Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Singapore and Brazil through job shadowing at leading waste and water management companies such as World Water Net, ICOVA, Shanks,Germente Amsterdam (Netherlands), and SWE Verwertung (Germany), Odebrecht, and LOGA (Brazil). He is a member of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA 10-4132) and a former member of the landfill working group.
