Philomina M. A. Arthur is a Civil Engineer by profession, having attained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2011 and a Master of Science in Water supply and Environmental Sanitation in 2015 both at KNUST, Ghana and a Doctorate degree in Sciences and Technologies of Water, Energy and Environment at the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE), Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2023. She has specialised in Environmental Engineering with expertise in Environmental Sanitation, Solid and Liquid Waste Management. Her research interests are focused on sustainable waste management, resource recovery from waste, waste-to-energy technologies, and carbon footprints of waste management systems. Philomina desires to build a resounding career as an environmental engineer, researcher and sustainability expert in waste management for sustainable development in emerging economies.
